Coure Benchmark Goals

Step 1

  • What is it that you hope to know and be able to do at the conclusion of the class?

I hope that I can learn more about what makes music music, and I would like to use this ability to construct and compose some of my own pieces.

  • What are three things you would like to achieve in order to count your semester as successful?

I would like to stay organized, stay focused, and have fun.

  • How motivated are you to achieve these goals?

Extremely motivated. I will pester you with questions.

  • How will you increase your motivation if it becomes low during the course of the semester?

I will get it out of my system & look at a person that's already completed the course and draw inspiration from them.

  • What strategies can you use to achieve your goals?

I am using a calendar to have all my goals completed at a certain date & I can check in with you, Julie, to see if my work is up to snuff :)

  • What might interfere with your achievement and how can you prevent this interference?

I think that I do get easily distracted & it is simple to get me going in a conversation. I would like to catch myself in those instances and remind myself, gently and patiently, to get back to work. Have a little fun here and there, but don't kill the work course.
